What is the Gloucester Water Study Project?

It is a set of independent projects that are intended to provide the Gloucester community with technical information relating to coal seam gas extraction in the region in the context of the AGL Gloucester Gas Project.

The Water Study focusses on produced water management and flooding within the catchments, as well as providing landholders with baseline water quality monitoring on their properties, and undertaking technical peer reviews of AGL's documents.

In addition, a full time Water Scientist position has been created to assist Council in the management of the project, and provide information to the Gloucester community on coal seam gas and water resources
